Game Night Pudding Pie Recipe

  3. Container of Cool Whip
  4. Oreo/Chocolate Pie Crust
  5. Milk

Making Chocolate Pudding Pie

Step 1: Pour the instant pudding mix into a medium sized mixing bowl. Measure out the correct portion of milk (found on the pudding mix box) and pour into a mixing bowl with pudding mix. Whisk until well combined and pudding starts to thicken.

Step 2: Place Oreo cookies into a plastic bag. Seal the bag and then gently squish the Oreos until crushed. You don’t want the pieces to be too big, but you also don’t want them to turn to dust.

Step 3: Add most of the crushed Oreos to the pudding on the mixing bowl and stir to combine. Reserve some of the crushed oreos for decorative topping.

Step 4: Pour pudding and cookie mixture into the pie crust. Be sure to use a spatula so you don’t leave any of that delicious mixture behind!

Step 5: Spoon cool whip on top of pudding cookie mixture. You could use the whole container or just some depending on how thick you would like this layer.

Step 6: Sprinkle remaining crushed cookies onto the top of the cool whip for decoration. Add the lid back on to the pie crust container and pop in the fridge until ready to serve.

Recipe Notes:

  • We recommend preparing the chocolate pudding pie at least 2-3 hours before serving for best results. You want the flavors of the cookies to combine well with the pudding and for the pudding to set.
  • This recipe makes 6 large or 8 small pie slices depending on how you cut it. When hosting a larger party of guests, we usually make two pies! If you’re worried about having too much pie, trust us when we say that there is never enough of this pie! Haha

6 INGREDIENT CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER PIE

Peanut Butter Pie Recipe

This is a jazzed up rendition of our original pudding pie recipe that I created after I started dating my husband, the peanut butter addict! Like everyone else, he likes the original but he loves this one even more. There’s something about the combination of chocolate and peanut butter that is so alluring and addicting. I can’t say I blame him haha!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie Ingredients

This recipe is just as easy as the original and with only one more added ingredient, but just as simple! This version is slightly sweeter because of the candy we swapped out for cookies, but it is just as satisfying for any sweet tooth!

  1. Instant Chocolate Pudding Mix
  2. Box Reese’s Pieces Candies
  3. Container of Cool Whip
  4. Graham Cracker Pie Crust
  5. Powdered Peanut Butter (such as pb2)
  6. Milk

Making Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie

The steps are very much the same as for our Chocolate Pudding Pie listed above, with just a few tweaks.

Step 1: Pour the instant pudding mix into a medium sized mixing bowl. Measure out the correct portion of milk and pour into a mixing bowl with pudding mix. Whisk until well combined and pudding starts to thicken.

Step 2: Pour the Reese’s Pieces Candies, reserving 1 tablespoon for topping, into the pudding mixture and stir to combine.

Step 3: Pour pudding and candy mixture into the pie crust. Be sure to use a spatula so you don’t leave any of that deliciousness behind!

Step 4: Either in a small mixing bowl or the Cool Whip container (to save on dishes), add 2 tablespoons of the powdered peanut butter gently fold to combine. *Do Not use whisk or fork to combine or else the cool whip will turn gritty and thick!

Step 5: Spoon peanut butter cool whip on top of pudding candy mixture. You could use the whole container or just some depending on how thick you would like this layer.

Step 6: Sprinkle the reserved tablespoon of Reese’s pieces candies onto the top of the cool whip for decoration. I like to place the candies in the center of the pie because I think it looks the prettiest.

If you’re feeling extra fancy (don’t judge me for adding another ingredient), you can drizzle some chocolate syrup onto the top of the pie. I reserve this decoration for special occasions! Add the lid and pop the pie in the fridge until ready to serve.

Recipe Notes:
